Then Jesus told his disciples, “If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.” Matthew 16:24-25
“The special spiritual significance of Theotokos, an immediate consequence of its doctrinal richness, is that we can never intelligently invoke Mary by this title without letting her inspire in us a deep desire for a more intimate union with God through her Son.”
“Through thee, the Trinity is glorified; through thee, the Cross is venerated…through thee, the fallen creature is raised to heaven.”
Through the unique and close relationship the Blessed virgin Mary has with the Trinity, as the most highly favored daughter of the Father, the virginal mother of the Son, and the all holy temple and spouse of the Holy Spirit, we desire a deep love and true devotion to Mary. “The Triune God chose Mary to be Theotokos: and for this reason we put ourselves in her Motherly care and protection.”
We are consecrated to Jesus through Mary so that Theotokos, the mother of God, God-Bearer will nourish us and make us God-Bearers in the sense that the light of the living God within us will shine brightly from our hearts and we will be a witness to all we come in contact with to the Greatness and Glory of God by our imitation of our beloved Mother.
The Holy Spirit tells her, “My well-beloved, my spouse, let all your virtues take root in my chosen ones that they may grow from strength to strength and from grace to grace. Reproduce yourself then in my chosen ones, so that I may have the joy of seeing in them the roots of your invincible faith, profound humility, total mortification, sublime prayers, ardent charity, your firm hope and all your virtues. May your faith give me believers; your purity, virgins; your fruitfulness, elect and living temples.”
With sincere hearts, we will strive to grow closer to the Trinity through our beloved Theotokos so that we can give glory and honor to God in our lifetime here on earth and for all eternity.
Our desire is to do more and more of God’s Will and less and less of our own will and so we are discerning what our individual vocations are. As daughters of God and our Blessed Mother, and sisters of Jesus Christ, we will support each other in the one call, which we all share, which is the call to Holiness.

We, the members of Theotokos, make a commitment to each other to:
Come with a sincere desire to know God through our beloved Blessed Mother
Come with an open heart to the Divine Will of God
Love and respect each other in thought, word, and deed, as well as everyone else we meet
Come to weekly meetings so that we can grow strong together
Attend Mass together once a week
Go to Confession at least once a month, and strive to remain in the state of grace so that we can receive the fullness of God’s Graces
Spend time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament as much as our vocation as a student allows, to talk to Him, but also to listen to Him in the quietness of our hearts, so that we can come to know His Love more and more personally
Spend one hour on Sundays as a household to adore Jesus in the Port and to pray the Rosary together
Individually fast one day a week for the intentions of the Blessed Mother. We will fast from a habit we have rather than from food for this day. Everyone will have fast partners and will pick a day of the week so that we as Household will have a constant offering to Our Lady.
Attend our weekly share groups
Attend Lord’s Day celebration on Saturdays
Meditate on the Passion of Our Beloved Lord for three minutes a day
Consecrate ourselves to the Cross which redeemed us and stand together beneath the Cross with the Blessed Mother to be purified and made holy so that we will be better able to fulfill the Lord’s awesome plan for our lives and to merit heaven so we can praise and thank the Most High Lord forever with all the angels and saints.
Minister to our household sisters with encouragement, charity, humility, patience and unconditional love and whichever other ministry the Lord has asked each of us to be involved with.
